Salary: £25,000 – £33,000

Based in their Bristol office, our client deliver non-stop excellent service to their clients. They have big plans over the coming years and the Finance team are a huge part of that, everyone that works there is a big part of the journey and understands the core business values.

The Role

Working with the Part-Time Finance Director and reporting to the Managing Director responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• First point of contact via telephone and email for all accounts queries dealing with them promptly
• General ledger reconciliation using the Xero platform
• Raise sales invoices and Purchase orders in Xero to send to clients and suppliers
• Raising and entering supplier bills in Xero attaching VAT receipts
• Management of the credit control with regular email or call clients to chase overdue payments and aged debt
• Support the Finance Director for the submission of the quarterly VAT returns
• Support the Finance Director in the submission of the Annual Year End Reports
• Ability to meet strict HMRC submission deadlines
• Manage the Employee expenses process
• Prepare Payroll for submission to agency
• Provide reports as and when requested
• Credit card management
• Prepare deferred income schedule
• Maintain fixed assets
• Update and maintain accurate details in Excel for the monthly billing run
• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Maintain all the financial data confidentially
• Compliant with all internal policies and procedures

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent IT knowledge of Microsoft packages especially Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to enable you to liaise with clients and suppliers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Excellent team player with the ability to work independently under minimum supervision

• Good interpersonal skills to form strong, effective working relationships
• The ability work under stress in a high paced environment which includes deadlines
• Highly organised with key attention to detail
• Flexible
